Pitching for the 16U Tsunami

Private lessons are an essential part to any pitcher's career. All pitchers can benefit from group clinics up to a certain skill level, but by the time they have the base mechanics, individualized attention is crucial. Although private one-on-one instruction is the most effective, I do offer two-on-one and small group lessons to increase cost efficiency. If two or more students are to be paired together, it is best to have them at the same general skill level so they can learn from each other.

Key Benefits

  • Individualized instruction tailored to meet your daughter's needs
  • Video analysis
  • Programs designed to develop all aspects of pitching; form, mentality, defense and more

Requirements and Helpful Hints

***All pitchers should have a catcher with them at each lesson. If a team mate or sibling is catching, parents should plan on staying nearby during the lesson. You are the best reinforcement possible for your daughter at home. Every pitcher needs a support system, and in order to do that properly, you need to know what she should be doing.***

  • If you will be catching for your daughter, plan on bringing something to sit on. You can purchase a bucket at Home Depot, or a hunting bucket at Wal-Mart during the fall hunting season. (they have really nice padded, rotating seats!)
  • Please make sure your daughter has water with them. They will be working hard, and dehydration will decrease their body's ability to function properly.
  • If the lesson is outside, the girls should wear cleats. They should also dress appropriately for the weather. If it is cold out, please have them layer their tops (they usually get hot as the lesson goes on). Baggy sweatshirts and any zipper-type jackets tend to interfere with their arm circle.

Locations

I am currently looking for a permanent "home" in the Inland Empire. Until then, I will be giving lessons in Upland and Chino Hills.
